Low Volga is a crossroads of
civilizations, region of contacts, one of few on our planet, rich
variety of tribes, peoples, ethnic groups, since stone century.
This is the
historical and cultural basis of the south of Russia, which life gives
Volga - largest in Europe and one of the greatest rivers of the world.
Here during
centuries the people created a great cultural Heritage, creating Russia,
placing her historical roots. Here passed a Great silk way, many
historical ways " from Varangian in the Greeks ", from Europe in Asia,
from northeast of Eurasia in Small Asia and Africa.
Low Volga has got the Heritage
of many historic-cultural epoch. The illustrations of times Khazars
kaganate and Gold Horde, laying of the medieval Russia and the Cossacks,
" Campaign for three seas " of Afanasiy Nikitin and brisk travels on "
to a Great silk way ", numerous battles and other events were saved, in
main, in archaeological and literary monuments, in museums and national
creativity.

mutineers - Stepan Razin and Yemelian Pugachev, scientists Shmidt,
Gamel, Batur - Ubashi Tumen, industrialists and Maecenas Repins,
Lapshins, Seryabryakovs, composers Pakhmutova, Ponomarenko, Martinov and
Kurmangazi Sagirbaev, politicians Trediakovsky and Iliymjinov. And many
others - singers, actors, military...
Here, as in Babylon, is heard
multi language speech, and as in Jerusalem, the temples of all gods look
in the sky. Bells and sonorous Cossacks songs here sound, a Great
Space Age here began...
The heritage of
centuries strengthens image of multinational Volgograd Region as
crossroads of civilizations, ethnic groups, cultures. It capable to
become bulwark of the world and the consent for all Southern federal
district.
